MINUTES
June 15, 1983 10 : 00 A.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board met at
10 : 00 A.M. on June 15, - 1983. The meeting was called to order by
President Donna. Glida, Susan and Leola were present. Jeanne
was excused as she was still in Iowa.
After changing the date from June 16 to June 15, 1983, A.M. , the
minutes were accepted as written.
Librarian' s Report:
Bills for $85. 02 were presented. Susan moved, Leola seconded,
that the bills be paid. Motion carried. Statistics for the
month were reviewed, and it was noted that magazine circulation
was up. On May 5th, Ann gave a well received Library presentation
to the Catholic Ladies Club.
Over 200 children have registered for the Summer Reading Program,
Timetwist. Ann and Kris, with the Time Machine, visited Eagle Hills
and Eagle Elementary Schools. The children enjoyed the presentation.
SIRLS has furnished Posters, Book Marks and Completion Certificates
for the Reading Program.
SIRLS picnic will be July 14 , 1983 at 7 : 00 P.M. Bring a covered
dish and own table service. Drinks will be furnished.
Glida gave a resume of SIRLS Budget Planning for the coming year
to be discussed at the July 14 Board Meeting.
Our Eagle Public Library Budget for FY 1983-84- has not been acted
upon by the City Council. Revenue Sharing is still a question.
A letter was read that President Donna sent to the City Council
discussing Free Cable for Disney films. There appears to be only
a matter of hook-up and a T.V. The Friends purchased a Central
Unit that headsets can be hooked to for listening to the cassettes
at the library.
Donna and Carol Stiburek will attend the meeting June 15 for
Eagle Days . Evans Building Center is sponsoring the breakfast.

Food has been donated except for the muffins. Glida asked for
volunteers to bake muffins. The breakfast will be from 10 : 00 A.M.
to 12 : 00 Noon at Evans Building Center.
There was some discussion of P.N.L.A. Conference on August 24 - 26,
1983 at Sun Valley.
We will have no July meeting except for the SIRLS Picnic.
Our next meeting will be the third Wednesday, August 17, at
10 :00 A.M.
