MINUTES
May 18, 1983 12 : 30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board met
May 18 , 1983 at 12 : 30 P.M. The meeting was called to order by
President Donna. Present were Susan, Glida and Leola. Jeanne
was excused. She is still in Des Moines, Iowa.
Minutes were presented and accepted as submitted.
Librarian' s Report:
Bills of $24 . 72 to the Book Shop were presented. Leola moved,
Susan seconded, that the bills be paid. Motion passed.
Donna and Ann attended the Genealogical Reference Workshop by
SIRLS. They reported an interesting session.
Thirty-five (35) applications were received for our part time
Summer Employee. They were narrowed down to nine (9) . Kris
Watkins was selected.
Summer Time Twist is the theme for the Summer Reading Program.
We will receive material from SIRLS . One suggestion was to dress
for a favorite time in Literature.
We will have five (5) films this summer. Dates they will be shown
and Volunteers are as follows:
July 5 - Susan July /- Donna July 19 - Leola
July 26 - Glida August 2 - ??
These dates are all for Tuesday morning at 10 : 00 o' clock at
the Eagle Elementary Gym.
Budget:
The Board worked on a Budget for next year at a work session the
morning of May 18 , 1983. Glida moved that we accept the Budget for
FY 83-84 as printed in the amount of $21, 979 . 69 drafted in the
Budget Workshop of May 18, 1983 . Leola seconded. Motion passed.

SIRLS
Glida reported she has been selected as Chairman of SIRLS for
next year. She stated the next SIRLS meeting will be May 19 , 1983 .
at which time their Budget will be reviewed and voted on.
The next regular meeting of the Eagle Library Board will be
June lf, 1983 at 10 : 00A .M. in the Library.
