MINUTES
March 9, 1983 12 : 00 noon
The Trustees of the Eagle Public Library met March 9, 1983. In
the absence of President Donna Abbott, the meeting was called
to order by Susan McColl. All other members were present.
Minutes of the February meeting were approved as submitted.
Ann presented bills for $273. 24 for books and magazines. Motion
was made by Jeanne, seconded by Glida that the bills be paid.
Motion carried. Statistics for previous month were reviewed.
Magazine circulation is doing well.
Ann and Susan reported on progress on a computer for the Library.
Much more information will be needed before a purchase.
Ann reported that a set of the Thomas Register was donated to the
Library by Joey Cullen. She will send a note of thanks to him.
It was decided April will again be "no fine" month. Advertisements
will be in the Community Calendar and Meridian paper.
Shortcut Sewing and Speeding Housekeeping:
It was noted that 22 attended the Shortcut Sewing demonstration by
Marilyn Shinn. The Speedy Housekeeping will be April 12 in the
Library.
Work was done on the new Policy Manual. There is much more to
be done, but it is progressing satisfactorily.
Other:
There was discussion on a monthly program for Nursery and
Gardening suggested by Jeanne. Susan suggested a Computer
Literacy Program.

Ann agreed to coordinate a luncheon for the Volunteers who
painted the mural in the Library. Lunch will be March 15, 1983.
The Friends have decorated the Library for Easter.
