LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
January 5. 1983 12 :00 noon
The meeting was called to order by Donna Abbott, President.
Leola and Jeanne were absent. Carol Haley was present.
Ann gave the library report and December statistics. Bills
in the amount of $154 . 14 were approved. An anonymous gift to
the library of $525. 00 was received. A thank you letter will be
sent. The Friends are painting the wall in the children' s
area with Disney characters.
Carol Haley had a question about overdues. A discussion
followed.
Ann noted that ILA dues are due December 31, 1982 for the new
year. Dues for all Trustees to join ILA will be paid out of the
budget.
Donna announced the Friends meeting with the Board will be
January 6 on Tuesday at 10 :00 a.m. in the library to discuss
ideas and this year' s projects.
Discussion was held about getting a computer for the library.
ISL has resources on buying and using a small computer for
libraries.
Donna announced the Eagle Disaster Auction will be on February 26.
The trustees should bring an outline or rough draft of their
section of the policy and procedure manual for the next board
meeting.
Other announcements :
Opening of the Idaho Historical Museum addition will be on
January 15, 1983. Campbell soup labels can be sent in for free
items for the library.
