MINUTES
December 1, 1982 12 : 00 Noon
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board met at
12 : 00 noon on December 1, 1982 . In the absence of Donna Abbott,
President, Susan McColl called the meeting to order. All other
members were present.
Minutes were approved as submitted. Jeanne volunteered to buy
the gift for Judy as authorized in the minutes. Glida suggested
that money for the gift be taken from the Friends fund.
Librarian' s report:
Statistics were reviewed and bills for $747 . 23 were submitted
Leola moved the bills be allowed. Jeanne seconded and the motion
passed.
Ann reported that the ' 82 - ' 83 Books in Print had been received
from SIRLS. She also discussed a letter from BSU asking to use
our Library as a repository for their catalog, information cards
and other material to be used for prospective students.
Bazaar:
Our appreciation to the Friends of the Library for a successful
lunch sale at the Bazaar. Profits were $613. 30.
Jeanne volunteered to represent the Board at the December 2 meeting
of the Friends. Susan suggested we have a joint meeting with
the Friends and a January 6, 1983 date was tentatively set. Jeanne
will ask for the Friends opinion regarding this meeting.
Apple Computer:
Susan reported she has been exploring the possibilities of a
computer being purchased for the Library. Pros and cons were
discussed. Susan was asked to explore futher into the matter.
Other:
A memorial gift for Donna will be purchased from City Funds.
Glida proposed we inquire into Memorials for the Library,
suggesting that it might be possible to have cards placed in
funeral homes.
