MINUTES
November 3, 1982 12 : 00 noon
The meeting of the trustees of Eagle City Public Library was
called to order by President Donna Abbott. All members were
present.
Minutes :
The minutes of the October meeting were approved as submitted.
Librarian' s Report:
Statistics were reviewed with the large circulation of magazines
noted. Discussion followed relative to storage for magazines
and for how long back issues might be kept. Patterns are now
in order in a file cabinet and .may be borrowed. Bills were
presented for $446. 91. Glida moved, seconded by Jeanne, that the
bills be paid. Motion passed.
SIRLS Trustee' s Meeting:
Glida and Donna attended the SIRLS Trustee ' s workshop and gave
favorable reports on Long and Short Range planning and goal
setting, also responsibilities of Trustees as presented at the
meeting.
Bazaar:
The Friends of the Library seem to have things well under control.
Smoking in the Library:
This problem was discussed, and a letter was composed to be read
at City Council stating our problem and asking for advice.
Other:
The Board decided to take Judy for lunch on Thursday, November 18 ,
and present her with a gift as she is leaving her position as
City Clerk.
It was agreed by the Board that a memo should be noted in our
minutes that, according to State Library Law, whenever adjust-
ments are needed in the Library Budget, the Trustees should be
in control of such changes.

Our next meeting will be December 1 , 1982 at 12 : 00 noon in the
Library.
