MINUTES
October 6, 1982 12 : 30 p.m.
The Eagle Public Library Trustee' s meeting was called to order
by Donna Abbott. All members were present except President
Leola Yucis.
MINUTES: The minutes were approved as submitted.
LIBRARIAN"S REPORT: Statistics were reviewed by the board, Susan
made a motion that bills in the amount of $46 . 50 be paid, seconded
by Jeanne. Motion carried. There was discussion about asking city
council to gift the library with the amount of our budget unexpended
in 1982 (that would otherwise go back into general fund) . Carol
Haley will check this out.
BAZAAR: Carol Stiburek is in charge of the library Friends ' food
project at the Bazaar. The menu will be the same as last year.
The Friends are taking charge of this project and making all
arrangements.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS: The slate of officers is Donna Abbott -
President and Leola Yucis - Secretary. No further nominations
were offered from the floor. Glida moved to close nominations,
seconded by Susan. Motion carried. Susan moved to accept the
slate by acclamation. Glida seconded. Motion carried.
OTHER: The city did not resubmit the block grant proposal.
Meridian Library District cannot expend its boundaries, however,
new districts can form and possibly contract with Meridian, or
with Eagle. Friends asked the board to support their sending a
letter to City Council asking for a regular cleaning service. In
considering our budget and the city budget, we will not support
this action, but will request and encourage volunteer work parties.
The Regional Network Planning Meeting is being held October 22, 1982
at Boise Public Library. Ann will attend the IEMA Conference
October 7, 8 and 9 in Boise.
Meeting adjourned. The next meeting i ill be November 3, 1982 .
