MINUTES
August 4, 1982 12: 00 noon
The Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees was called to order by
President Leola Yucis. Leola, Jeanne and Donna were present.
Minutes were approved as submitted.
Librarian' s report: The statistics were reviewed by the board.
Jeanne Covault made a motion that bills in the amount of $10. 00
be paid, seconded by Donna Abbott. Motion carried.
Budget: The 1982-83 budget was returned to the board. Leola will
check and see how they arrived at the $400 . 00 reduction.
Summer reading: The summer reading was a great success. The
library party held August 3 at Hillside Park was attended by
44 children.
Friends : The Friends will need to have their annual meeting for
the first year. Jeanne agreed to be the representative from the
board to attend the September meeting of the Friends.
Other: Leola was called about a donation from the Baptist Church
of religious books for the library. We will wait until we have a
policy adopted for the library in the fall.
SIRLS picnic was attended by Leola, Jeanne and Donna. Films that
were shown for the summer were very well attended. There was
discussion about the library' s liability for accidents that might
occur during the movies.
