MINUTES
April 7, 1982 12:00 noon
The Eagle Public Library Board of Trustees was called to order by
President Leola Yucis. All board members were present and Council
Representative Carol Haley.
Minutes were approved as submitted. Jeanne Covault made a motion that
bills in the amount of $279.13 were to be paid. Seconded by Susan,
passed.
Librarian's report: Our circulation is up this month by 200 books. The
film, "Little Prince", was shown for the children last month. Registration
for Idaho Library Association convention in Sun Valley has been nailed.
All board members will be attending either three days or one day of the
convention.
The board discussed our summer employee. Nothing is firm on our receiving
a Ci'A employee as of yet. Susan made a motion that we wait until
May 5, 1982 to place an ad in the newspaper. Glida Bothwell seconded,
motion carried. The board hopes to know by then if we can obtain a
CETA person.
National Library Week is April 19 through 23. The library board is setting
up programs to have during this time.
Jeanne Covault attended the last SIRLS meting. The Eagle Library has
received the following grants: $41.00 per capita grant; $100.00 matching
grant; and $700.00 special needs. The special needs grant is to be used
for upgrading our reference section only.
The budget was discussed. It should be ready for city council by June 1, 1982.
A retirement plan for the librarian will be added. A budget workshop will be
held before the next meting.
