MINUTES
February 3, 1982 12:30 P.M.
The Eagle Public Library meeting of trustees was called to order and all
board members were present. Council representative, Carol Haley, was also
present.
Minutes were read and approved as submitted. The library board reviewed
statistics. Susan made a motion that the bills of $337.79 were to be paid,
seconded by Jeanne. Notion carried.
There was discussion about getting a block grant. Susan reported that
application was due in April and there was a workshop coming up in March.
New Business: Jeanne brought to the board's attention that there is as
much smoking in the library now, as before we requested the librarian to
post a no smoking sign. A sign will be posted in the front area, also.
The library board drafted an ad for the newspaper to be submitted to the
city concerning our summer employee.
Budget planning will begin with our March or April meeting. There will be
open house from 9 - 8 p.m. on February 22 put on by the Friends of the
Library.
Susan McColl brought to the board's attention that there are no smoke alarms
in the library. Carol Haley will take this matter to the City Council.
