LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
July 1, 1981 12:30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board was held at the
home of our Librarian, Ann Gallinger. Meeting was called to order at
12:30 P.M. on July 1, 1981, by our President Susan McColl. Glida Bothwell
was absent.
Minutes of June 3, 1981 meeting were read and adopted with no corrections.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT
Statistics for June were reviewed. Circulation of books has greatly
increased. Story Hour and films are well attended.
Jeanne moved, Donna seconded that the Board give $10.00 for flowers
for Joan Hill as a thank you for her work for typing cards for paperback
books. Motion carried.
Bills for $79.20 for books were presented and authorized to be paid.
PNLA
After much discussion, the board decided to not attend the PNLA convention
in Portland as expenses seemed to outweigh benefits.
BUDGET
President Susan reported that our budget appears to be favorable to the
city council.
OTHER ITEMS
SIRLS picnic will be July 16, 1981. Jeanne offered to drive. All members
will attend.
A thank you note has been sent to Gloria Dittman for her work at Eagle
Fun Days.
Ann will check into collating the SIRLS cookbooks.
Susan set herself a July 20 deadline for final organizing of Friends of
the Eagle Library.

Meeting adjourned after which we enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by
President Susan. Thank you, Susan.
