LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
March 11, 1981 12 : 30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle City Library Board was
called to order by President McCOLL at 12 : 30 P.M. , March 11,
1981. All members answered roll call. The meeting was at
the home of our librarian, Ann Gallinger. A lovely flower
arrangement was presented to her as a housewarming gift.
Minutes of the February 4 , 1981 meeting were read and
approved as submitted.
LIBRARIAN' S REPORT:
Statistics for February were discussed. An increase in
interlibrary loans was noted. Bills totaling $164 .-53
were presented and authorized to be paid. Summer reading
program and films will be presented as usual.
GRANTS DISCUSSION:
President Susan had contacted Tom Rybas from Humanities
relative to obtaining a reference section for our library.
He said his organization was prohibited from making capital
purchases. Mr. Rybas said the Historical Project was more
geared to their funding. Some discussion followed as to
the possibility of getting some oral history accounts on
tape. Local foundations would be more in line for purchase
of books. Glida moved, Donna seconded that we ask SIRLS
Special Needs for a set of encyclopedias.
President Susan had contacted Idaho Camera and gave us some
prices, advantages and disadvantages of Bell & Howell ' s
three models of film projectors. We will try to get a
demonstration for our next meeting.
EAGLE FUN DAYS :
Donna reported the committee will meet March 12 , 1981. The
board suggested she ask for the pop concession for the
library. Glida volunteered to see about having the book-
worm for the parade.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY:
President Susan reported the Articles of Incorporation and
the By-laws were ready. We will need $20 . 00 for a fee to
register to incorporate. Susan will set up a meeting for
next week at her house. After a delicious lunch provided
by Susan and Jeanne, the meeting adjourned.
