LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
February 4, 1981 12 : 30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board was
called to order by President MCCOLL at 12 : 30 p.m. , February 4 , 1981.
Roll call showed all members present. Minutes of the last
meeting were read and approved after being corrected to read
page 1 , paragraph 3, line 4 : add "and Statesman. "
GRANTS COMMITTEE AND HUMANITIES REPORT
Presidnet Susan discussed briefly the program inaugurated by
the Association for the Humanities in Idaho, and other
available grants. She asked for ideas from board members
on projects. It was decided Susan would contact the
Association for Humanities as to their feeling on funds
for a reference section for our library; also, their feeling
on a Local History Porject for our area. Glida was asked
to contact members of the Kuna Library Board for suggestions
from their local history project.
PURCHASE OF FILM PROJECTOR
Susan will contact Bell and Howell representative for prices
on projectors. Glida offered to check with SIRLS as to when
we will receive our matching funds. Reports to be ready for
March meeting.
LIBRARIAN' S REPORT
Statistics for January were reviewed. Circulation continues
to rise. We have received very_ nice book donations. Bills
were presented for$140 . 86 , Book Shop and $168 . 60 , Jr Lit Guild
for a total of $310 . 46. They were authorized to be paid.
Ann will contact the State Library about securing surplus books.
Leroy Pearman is our new liaison officer from the Eagle
City Council.
SPRING ACTIVITIES
Donna reported no activity as of this time. She expressed
hope to have help from the Friends of the Library for Eagle
Fun Days. Puppet shows for preschool children will get
under way soon.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
President MCCOLL will set up a meeting for the second week in
March at her home. By-laws will be ready by then.
Ann invited the board to hold the regular March meeting at her
home in Eagle Hills at 378 Moraine Place.
Meeting adjourned at 2 :00 p.m.
