LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
December 3, 1980 12 : 30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board was called
to order by President MCCOLL at 12 . 30 P.M. , December 3, 1980 .
Answering roll call were: ABBOTT, BOTHWELL,COVAULT and LUCIS.
Minutes of November 5, 1980 were approved as submitted.
LIBRARIANS REPORT
Library statistics for the month of November were reviewed. An
increase in circulation was noted. Bills of $116. 98 were
presented and authorized to be paid.
A thank-you note from Helen Miller was read. Two new names for
Friends of the Library were presented.
BAZAAR
Profits from the Bazaar lunch were $231. 90 . Expenses noted at
approximately $100 . 00 . Jeanne gave a detailed report on
amounts purchased and amounts sold. An itemized account will
be put on file for future use. Thank you notes will be sent to
the Eagle Grill for ice; Eagle Main an 5th for soft drinks;
Betty Morris for popcorn balls; and Joan Hill for $5. 00 donation
plus all the work she does for the library.
Presdient MCCOLL, speaking for the board, thanked Jeanne for the
excellent job she did in coordinating the lunch program.
TRUSTEES MEETING
The Idaho State Library Trustee Workshop will be December 4 , 1980 .
Donna, Glida, and Leola will attend. The new State Librarian,
Dr. Charles Bolles will speak.
NEW BUSINESS
At the last Eagle City Council meeting, Donna Abbott was approved
for a five year term on the Library Board of Trustees.
Glida and Ann attended the Molly Cone luncheon and presentation.
The both reported it to be interesting and informative. Glida
bought two of her books for the library.

Ann reported that she has the preschool story hour each Thursday,
but the puppett show cannot be held until after the holidays.
Mike Herman informed us that book shelves were available from
Twin Falls but a truck was needed to haul them. We are trying
to find a way to get them here.
The board decided to have an appreciation Coffee Hour for Friends
of the Library volunteers and prospective members. It will be
Friday, December 12 , at 10 : 30 a.m. Jeannie Covault offered her
home as the meeting place. She lives at 783 Dogwood Street in
Eagle Ranch subdivision.
The president asked for comments on the change of time of our
meetings. As it seemed to meet with approval , our next meeting
will be January 7 , 1981 at 12 : 30 p.m.
Meeting adjourned at 1 : 45 p.m.
