LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES
November 5 , 1980 6 : 30 P.M.
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board was
called to order by President MCCOLL at 6 : 30 p.m. , November 5 ,
1980. Roll call showed ABBOTT, COVAULT, BOTHWELL and
YUCIS present.
Minutes of October 1, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted.
LIBRARIAN' S REPORT
Statistics for the month of October were reviewed. Bills of
$32 . 20 were presented and authorized to be paid. Ann reported
the possibility of a puppet show. Judy Thatcher has volunteered
to do a puppet show. Decision was made to try to have one before
the holidays and to check on obtaining the use of a room in the
Baptist Church for the show.
FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
Sandy Peterson, Gloria Dittman, Mr. & Mrs. Rusk and Shirley
Young volunteered to work on the board for the Friends. Leola
Yucis will act as liaison between Friends and the library
board. Names of eight new members were presented.
BAZAAR BOOTH
As chairman of our committee, Jeanne announced we would serve
sandwiches , rolls , cookies, potatoe chips , coffee and a soft
drink. Prices to be: sandwiches, 75 ; rolls, 50' ; cookies, 10 ;
pop, 25 ; coffee, 25c and refill, 10 .
FOUNDATION FUNDING SEMINAR
Susan attended the meeting held October 20 , 1980 in Caldwell
and reported it to be a very worthwhile meeting. She reported
it was very important that in applying for grants specific
needs be given, also to be selective in what foundation to
apply to. Whittenberg Foundation in Caldwell gives worthwhile
grants. Deadlines are set for July and September. We will meet
to discuss this further.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
No other activities were discussed except story hour and a
puppet show.
OTHER
Susan recommended we place a notice in The Statesman under
Literature stating our need for Friends of the Library. Glida
suggested our meeting time be changed to daytime. It was decided
to try Wednesday, 12 : 30 p.m. for December 3 , 1980 meeting.
