LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
6 : 30 P. M. June 4 , 1980
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Trustees was
called to order by President Jeanne Covault June 4 , 1980 . Present
were ABBOTT, BOTHWELL, YUCAS, MCCOLL.
Minutes were approved as submitted. Library statistics were
reviewed. Donations received toward the projector were:
Lions--$50 . 00 and Eagle Business Association--$150 . 00 . Thank
you letters have been sent.
Bills for $293. 06 were presented and approved.
Eagle Fun Days : Information Booth not too productive as a
publicity gimmic. Bookworm won a trophy as Best Special Entry.
Great interest was shown in the Summer Reading Program. The
Bookworm proved to be best publicity stunt.
Summer Reading Program: Ann and Glida took Homer (Glida' s ghost
puppet) to Eagle Elementary and Eagle Hills Schools to introduce
the reading program. It was very well received.
The film schedule was greeted with enthusiasm. Registration for
Summer Reading will be held Monday June 9 through 13, 1980 .
July 17, 1980 is the Public Library Potluck at Boise Public Library.
Helen Miller, retiring state librarian, will be honored. Each library
is to bring a rock for her rock garden. Pictures of the library
are also wanted. Suggestions for a gift were something that would
be typical of the Eagle area.
The July library meeting will not be held. An August meeting date
will be decided upon later.
Mardi Keene will present a workshop on Junior Great Books June 10 -
11, 1980 . Mike Herman would be available if needed for budget
meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 7 : 30 P.M.
