LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
6 : 30 P.M. May 7, 1980
The regular meeting of the Eagle Public Library Board of
Trustees was called to order May 7, 1980 by President Jeanne
COVAULT. ABBOTT, BOTHWELL, MCCOLL, YUCAS were present. The
minutes of April 11, 1980 were accepted as submitted.
LIBRARIAN' S REPORT
Statistics were discussed. Bills of $216 . 09 were presented
and approved. Quarterly report was given.
Mountain Bell donated $100. 00 toward a film projector. Thank
you letters have been sent.
ILA report was given by Ann Gallinger. The book displays
were informative and speakers, Lois Lowry and Alice Ihrig, were
very good.
Glida Bothwell reported on grants from the Association on
Humanities in Idaho. Jackie Day is the contact person for these
grants. Don Mills puppetry was most entertaining.
Glida was elected Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson Elect of the
Trustee Division of I.L.A.
Ann and Glida found the conference very worthwhile.
Eagle Fun Days, May 31, was discussed. Glida moved, second
by Donna, the Board of Trustees sell three colas and sun tea
at the school. Motion carried.
Responsibilities were:
Susan--tubs, check on pop and cups
Donna--pick up bookworm at BPL for parade and tea
Leola--ice chest, ice, sugar, tea
Glida--nine kids for bookworm, sign, tea
Jeanne--ice chest, tea
Ann--library display for booth

Booth shifts were:
1 : 30 to 3: 30--Susan and Donna
3: 30 to 5 : 30--Leola and Jeanne
5 : 30 to 7: 30--Glida and Shirley Young
Haunt Your Library is the theme for the summer reading
program. The program will be finalized after the Librarian' s
Meeting, May 16, at BPL.
The Board will take Glenda to lunch May 15, 1980 and will
meet at the library at 12 : 30 P.M.
There was discussion regarding the responsibility of the
Library Board to the City Council. Individual members of the
Library Board have their own identity, separate from City
Council.
Meeting adjourned 8 : 55 P.M.
