Librarian's Meeting 20 October, 1978

1. Boise Public Library hired two new people.
1. Bill Wilson - new Interlibrarv Loan Librarian.
pill attend to all requests, to make sure they are
followed through.
2. Nancy Ballard - Sirls Extension. She will work
from 9 am to 6 p~. Therefore, someone will always
be there to answer the phone.

2. Introduced Tim Glancy, magician, from Office of Energy,
to serve our libraries. I set up two programs so far. with
the Eagle Elementary Kindergarten, on Wednesday, Nove~ber
29, 1978, at the Eagle Public Library. One at 9:30 A. M.
and one at 11:30 A. M.
The programs are approximately 30 to 45 minutes in length.
3. Saw films on reference librarians, discussed good and bad
techniques that were used.
4. Split up into groups of 4, and completed some exercises on
using Reference materials.
5. Trustee meeting November 9 to discuss budget.
6. Discussed budget. For Special Needs, voted on a maximum
of $200.00 from each library, and Special needs will match
this. The remainder of this money will apply to special
needs t~at libraries submit by applications.
This was the majority vote, however, Tish and Mike will take
this decision to the Board of Trustees November 9, to work
out details.
This maximum $200.00 cannot be taken out of book budget, etc.
The way to get this money has to be okayed by Tish or Mike.
