Minutes - 1975 - Eagle Public Library - 10/02/1975 - Regular
October 2, 1975
A meeting of the Eagle Library Board was called to order October
2, 1975 at 10 A. M. by Chairperson Betty Morris. All members were
present with Glida Bothwell also attending.
The minutes were read and approved from the September 11, 1975
meeting.
Diana Rutledge was appointed librarian. The motion was made by
Mrs. White and seconded by Mrs. Parks. The motion was passed. She
will be paid by CETA until the end of June, 1976.
A firewall was discussed and tabled until a bid is submitted.
The discussion of painting the interior was tabled. Doc House
made the motion and it was seconded by Donna ~bb~t 'h1
The board discussed a change in th';:.t~~'t~r6f ~:; librarian.
Betty Morris moved to change 'Mayor and City Clerk/lto Library Board.
It was seconded and passed.
Glida Bothwell submitted a written report of the library activities
for 1974-75:
A monthly report to the board and City Council.was discussed.
Doc House moved that the librarian would submit a report to the
council. The motion was passed.
Diana Rutledge was told of the requirements of a librarian.
There was a discussion to send Diana to school. CETA will pay
for the schooling.
Mrs. White moved to send her for cataloging and childrens
literature, as approved by CETA. Mrs. Parks seconded the motion
and it was passed.
Budget, shelving and purchasing of land was discussed.
Doc House will present to the City Council the idea of building
the firewall and will report later.
Donna Abbott reported that Star has its own library.
Doc House suggested that Diana Rutledge give a list of priorities
for the library at the next meeting.
The next meeting will be held October 9, 1975 at 9 A. M. to
discuss and vote on library policies.
There being no further business to come before the board, the
meeting was adjourned at 11:20 A. M.,
