Meeting called to order by acting chairperson, Glida Bothwell.
The new board member, "00C" House, ...'as introduced.
Betty r"':orris ,~as norr.inated for chairperson by Nrs. Parks, 2nd by Mrs. Regan,
and passed.
The board voted unani:uously to buy a storm door for the front door which would
cost ~pproximately ~50 plus labor.
The rJoney from SIH.LS left over from the $153 ($60 of which ~'as spent on card catalog
file) will be held till needed for something later. A magazine rack and paperback
book rack were suggested for purchase. The board voted against a book drop in front.
The $100 left from the ~500 grant will be spent on library materials according
to ~he restrictions originally set with the grant.

SIRLS - Carol Stoddard reported on the Hay 1 meeting. The item of intere~,t to
us was the audio-visual materials availab.l~ for 6-month loan from iDther libraries
in the region. Cassette recorders, caseette film machines, and &run projectors are
available. A swnmer film program was discussed. A screen has been loaned to the
library.
Carol Stoddard will host a picnic in her backya~d in August for all board
members and volunteers. The board voted, with one abstention, to buy the meat and
everyone will bring a covered dish. Carol will organize the picnic.
Glida Bothwell was appointed librarian. Betty Xorris made the motion, 2nd.by
Mrs. Parks and passed. She will serve as secretary of the board.
An open house in the near future was discussed.
The board voted not to have a meeting in June and if a rneeting is needed,
Betty will call a special Monday night meeting.
