Minutes - 1974 - Eagle Public Library - 09/05/1974 - Regular Minutes o;f, the Eagle Library Board September 5, 1~74 A meeting of the Eagle Library Board members was held in the library on September:-5, 1974. Those members present were: Bet ty Morris Carol Stoddard Roewna Parks Edwena Regan Absent: John Smidt The group discussed a resolution to participate in the Regional Library System. Since no fee was involved, it was felt this System might be to tte advantage of our library. A motion was made by Carol, seconded by Betty, that the Eagle Library become a member of the Regional System. Motion carried. Steve Horrison,1ilho is in charge of reorganizing the library" discussed the problems of, appropriate reading material for the minor age groups. The Board decided that under age 18 should be considered as minor groups. Steve suggested a marking system which would indicate to the librarian those books not desirable for minor groups to read. Thus the librarian could readily determine those books not to be checked out to a minor. Where to put the reserve shelf was discused. It was felt that the books on that shelf should be more accessible to adults than they are at present. Steve asked that two current library journals be included in the li~y, ~otion was made by Edwena, seconded by Rowena that steve be permitted to order the Journals which he ~ill choose. Motiun carried. New supplies other than those which have already arrived will be needed soon. Betty moved to appoint Steve with Carol as alternate as our representative to the Regional Libra ry System. .tI.owena seconded the lllotion. Motion carried.
