I. CALLTO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 4:35 p.m.

I. BUDGET DISCUSSION FY 2016-2017
A. Identification of Short'Ferm and Long "Term Goals for the Commission.
DiSCUSS1011 of'getting magnetic name badges for all Commissioners, as well as t -shirts with the
Commission designation and with their names. Stafford will hallow up on obtaining the name
badges Im the Commission.
Nickel arrives at 4:45 p.m.
Discussion of mappine Of sites utilizing GIS or F"RSI with intern labor. pence will take the lead
oil this project,
Discussion Unloving forward on the nomination to the national register of the Dicky Barn.
Nickel will make contact with the owners, Mr. Beggrow to ensure that they are amiable to the
Commission moving forward with the nomination. Commission will potentially look into
getting three quotes for historians to complete the paperwork associated with the nomination to
the National Register, Nickel will take the lead on this project.
Plaques stating the construction year for historic buildings will be added to next year's budget.
13. Determination of line item budget requests for FY 2016-2017.
Discussion of budgeting for grants to give to homeowners to use towards preservation of historic
buildings or properties. Also, discuss getting local businesses, and/or service clubs involved in
the preservation of properties to instill a sense of ownership and pride in the historic properties.
Budget categories are discussed:
PIZEISFIRVATION: Property surveys, registry nomination, signage, restoration grant, municipal
registry. $5,000
COMMUNi,ry 1�.,"N(jA(i1:,.Mi�7N'I'/SPECIAt. FVFNTS: mapping, digitization walking tour
brochure, quarterly speakers,, walking tours, Eagle Fun Days, Country Christmas. $1,500
]DUCATIONJRAINING: Continuing education for the Commissioners. $3,000 Including
attendance to Idaho Heritage Cont"crence in 2017.
ADMINISTIZATION: office supplies, printing, legal advertising. $250
Discussion of` obtaining a "how to" manual for grant seeking. Perhaps Ms. Buckendorf would be
a resource to pay to generate a manual, a personal service contract would be required if" this item
is moved forward. Also discussion ot'generating a list of properties to methodically seek
noniination to the national register.
