EAGLE HISTORIC PRESERV AnON COMMISSION
Minutes of March 10,2010
Call to Order: Chair, Frank Thomason, called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Roll Call and Introductions: Commission members Pam Kelch and Nancy Suiter were
present. Karianne Fallow had an excused absence. Also attending was Museum Director,
Laurie Baker.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Approval of Minutes: Amendments to the minutes of the February 10,2010, meeting
were as follows: City Clerk, Sharon Bergman arrived late for the meeting and should be
included in the Roll Call; Ms. Baker did not introduce the idea of a book of local historic
sights as a fund-raiser for the museum at the State of the City meeting; Pam Kelch did not
meet with Phil Fry; Mark Pelkoski's name was misspelled. Nancy Suiter moved and
Pam Kelch seconded the motion to approve the minutes as amended. The motion carried.
Certified Local Government Grant, 2010,
Request for Qualifications Review: Following discussion of the applicants for
Historical Consultant, Nancy Suiter moved and Pam Kelch seconded the motion to
choose Madeline Buckendorf. The motion passed.
Eagle Municipal Historic Registry: Pam Kelch, who was officially approved as a
Commission member by the Eagle City Council, March 3, 2010, presented Phase One of
Eagle's Municipal Historic Sites Registry. To date, Ms. Kelch has photographed 64
properties in and around Eagle. Commission members, per Ms. Kelch's request,
discussed some of the properties and the Commission chose some for her to investigate
further at the Assessor's office.
Facebook Site: Discussion was held about a Facebook site for the Eagle Museum. As
Karianne Fallow brought up the subject at an earlier meeting, it was decided the
Commission should wait until the next meeting and ask her if she would be willing to do
this.
Adjournment: There being no further business, Pam Kelch moved the meeting be
adjourned. Nancy Suiter seconded the motion. The motion passed and Frank Thomason
declared the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
