THE EAGLE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
MINUTES FROM THE MEETING OF: June 13, 2006
The meeting was called to order at 9:40 a.m. by Chairman Diane Scott.
Roll Call: Commission members attending were: Diane Scott, Betty Fisher, and Anne
Gibson. Also attending was Geneva Trent, and Dr. DeeDee Sharp.
Approval of Minutes: Betty made a motion to accept the minutes of the June 6th, 2006
meeting as written, Diane seconded the motion, and the motion passed.
Approval of Expenditures: Expenditures to be paid are $3,897.00 from TAG Historical
Research and Consulting for the Reconnaissance Survey of Agricultural Properties; approval
was by initialing the invoice. Diane moved that they also pay the expenses to send Geneva to
the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions National Commission Forum to be held in
Baltimore on July 27 through 30, and for Geneva to go ahead and make the reservations and
get airline tickets, etc. as needed. Betty seconded the motion, motion passed.
Goals for Fiscal Year 2006-2007: The members reviewed the proposed goals for the corning
year, and discussed each one. Some changes were suggested, and Geneva will provide a copy
with those changes incorporated for Commission approval at the next meeting. They also
noted that they need to include budget items for the goals discussed, as well as for another
storage unit and for publishing Arthur Hart's book of the history of Eagle. Diane asked
Geneva to also prepare an outline of things she has accomplished during this fiscal year and
an abbreviated list of her goals for the next year so the Commission can review her progress
and consider a raise in salary.
Adjournment: There being no other business, Diane adjourned the meeting at 11 :48 am.
