THE EAGLE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
MINUTES FROM THE MEETING OF:
Uecember 28, 2005
Following a lengthy informal discussion with Ann Swanson, Grants Operations Analyst with
the State Historic Preservation Office, about historic preservation, the meeting was called to
order at 10: 15 a.m. by Chairman Diane Scott.
Roll Call: Commission members attending were: Diane Scott, Betty Fisher, Larry Rackham
and PhyJIis Schlador. Also attending were Geneva Trent and Ann Swanson. Absent was
Weldon Fisher.
New Business: Review of Bids for Reconnaissance Survey of Agricultural Properties-
Commission members reviewed the three bid recc~ived for conducting the surveyor properties
around Eagle that had been previously identified. The bid from Dale Gray of Frontier
Historical Consultants, Inc. was for a considerably higher price than the other two bids. The
bids from Claudia Taylor Walsworth and Elizabeth Jacox were for the same price, and were
reviewed to see which would be the best qualified for the project; it was decided that
Elizabeth Jacox was more experienced in agricultural surveys. Diane made a motion to
accept the bid from Elizabeth Jacox of Arrowrock Group, Inc. and recommend that the City
contract with her to do the survey. Larry seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously.
Criteria for Accepting Artifacts - Geneva explained that she was working with Jody Ochoa at
the State Museum on developing criteria for deciding on accepting or rejecting objects for the
museum. Geneva has not yet received the criteria used by the State Museum, but had prepared
preliminary criteria for the Eagle Historical Museum. Diane read the criteria to the group.
PhyHis moved that those criteria be accepted for determining what to accept or reject, Betty
seconded the motion and it passed. Copy of those criteria are attached to these minutes,
Adjournment: There being no other business, Diiane adjourned the meeting at 11:45 am.
