THE EAGLE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF:
January 15, 2003
Meeting was called to order by chairman Weldon Fisher.
Commission members in attendance were Geneva Trent, Lois Kunkler, Weldon Fisher, Theresa
Steach, and Diane Scott.
Minutes of previous meeting will be reviewed and acted on at next meeting.
The museum storage room was discussed, and members agreed that it would be helpful to have a
table to work on in the storage room, as well as shelving on the south wall.
The Register of Eagle's Historic Sites was reviewed, Diane Scott will be getting National Register and
State Register information on January 16th. We should have information put together by next
meeting.
Geneva Trent will prepare a Museum Statement of Purpose and Policies based on the ones we
received from the Cambridge Museum, and they will be voted on at the next meeting.
New exhibits in the Museum were discussed, and it was noted that we need to do more planning.
Weldon will be starting on a blacksmith exhibit right away.
It was also noted that the Museum needs more storage space, for display cases not in use or building
materials like old barn boards that will be used in future displays. We will ask the City about
renting a storage unit.
A Historic Preservation Commission report is scheduled for the February 11 Pre-Council meeting.
The members unanimously agreed to appoint Diane Scott as Director of the Museum.
Meeting adjourned.
