THE EAGLE HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF:
January 30,2002
Meeting was called to order by secretry Geneva Trent
Commission members in attendance were Geneva Trent, Maggie Jeters, Lois Kunkler, and Theresa
Steach.
Lois Kunkler moved to approve the minutes of October 24, 2001. Seconded by Theresa Steach,
passed unanimously.
Discussion of developing a Register of Eagle's Historic Sites centered on developing details on what
buildings qualify based on their age, amount of remodeling, etc. No decision was made. Rather it was
noted that we need to list all old buildings and sites that we think should be on an Eagle Historic Sites
Register, then check to see which ones have been surveyed by the county, and apply for a grant to
have the rest of the sites surveyed. This would need to be done by early September.
An informal decision was reached to obtain additional information on the Idaho Heritage City
Program.
It was suggested that the next meeting be on February 20th at 1:00 p.m.
