THE EAGLE mSTOmC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF:
April 19, 2000
Meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by chairman Weldon Fisher.
Commission members in attendance were Weldon Fisher, Geneva Trent, and Maggie Jeters.
Ann Swanson of the Idaho State Historical Society and Tricia Canady, the State Society's
Architectural Historian, spoke to the Commission about Ada County also being a CLG and doing a
historic sites inventory; we do not need to do a separate inventory for Eagle but can use the
information compiled by Ada County. It was suggested that for setting up files of the history of
Eagle that they be labeled by address, should contain the historic sites inventory form for that
address as well as other information about that site and cross-references to other files/subjects.
Ann Swanson also discussed the CLG grants; we could use it to purchase research materials such as
the Sanborn fire maps. Noted that we will also want to accumulate our own library of books on area
history and preservation. The deadline for submitting a grant proposal for 2000 is September 30.
