Minutes - 2017 - Design Review - 06/08/2017 - RegularDESIGN REVIEW BOARD MINUTES The Design Review Board met in regular session June 8, 2017 Chairman Grubb presiding. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Grubb calls the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: The following members were present: GRUBB, SAYER, SCHAFER, BAER, GERMANO, KOCI. ABSENT: BRASHER. A quorum is present. 3. CONSENT AGENDA • Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are acted on with one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Design Review Board member, City Staff, or a citizen requests an item to be removed from the Consent Agenda for discussion. Items removed from the Consent Agenda will be placed on the Regular Agenda in a sequence determined by the Rules of Order. • Any item on the Consent Agenda that contains written recommendations from the City of Eagle shall be adopted as part of the Design Review's Consent Agenda approval motion unless specifically stated otherwise. DR -20-17 — Common Area Landscaping within VaLvnn Village Subdivision — Roth Homes: Roth Homes, represented by Ben Semple with Breckon Land Design, is requesting design review approval of the common area landscaping within VaLynn Village Subdivision. The 4.64 -acre site is located at the terminus of West Cowman Court and South Gardean Way at 701 West Cowman Court. Ben Semple, Breckon Land Design, 6661 N. Glenwood, Garden City, reviews the application and plans submitted. City Planner B. Williams reviews the application. Board discussion. Grubb moves to approve DR -20-17 — Common Area Landscaping within VaLynn Village Subdivision — Roth Homes with the following modification to the 4A memo. We are in support of the monetary value of eighty-three (83) two inch caliper trees is $29,050.00 (based on the average industry value of $350.00 for one two inch caliper tree). The $70,000.00 worth of improvements being completed within the common area of Rick's River Ridge Estates Subdivision shall be considered mitigation of the $29,050.00 and no monetary contribution is required to be paid to the tree fund. Site specific condition #9: The tree caliper inches being removed from the site will be mitigated within off- site improvements as stated in site specific condition #1 as above. Site specific condition #13: The improvements in the Rick's River Ridge subdivision which will require landscape improvements will meet current code for the number of trees and landscaping within that area, to be approved by staff and two members of the Design Review Board.
