Minutes - 2012 - Design Review - 10/25/2012 - Regular DESIGN REVIEW BOARD MINUTES The Design Review Board met in regular session October 25, 2012, Vice-Chairman Grubb presiding. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Vice-Chairman Grubb calls the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. (waiting for applicant's representative to arrive). 2. ROLL CALL: The following members were present: GRUBB, SAYER, HULL, COMSTOCK, BRASHER. ABSENT: MCCULLOUGH, PASCUA. A quorum is present. 3. CONSENT AGENDA • Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are acted on with one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a Design Review Board member, City Staff, or a citizen requests an item to be removed from the Consent Agenda for discussion. Items removed from the Consent Agenda will be placed on the Regular Agenda in a sequence determined by the Rules of Order. ♦ Any item on the Consent Agenda that contains written recommendations from the City of Eagle shall be adopted as part of the Design Review's Consent Agenda approval motion unless specifically stated otherwise. A. Minutes of October 11, 2012. Grubb would like to add item 3B, minutes of October 16, 2012 special meeting to the consent agenda. Comstock moves to approve the consent agenda. Seconded by Grubb. ALL AYE...MOTION CARRIES. 4. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: A. DR-44-12—Multi-tenant Retail/Office Building with Residential Apartments— Tavis and Brooke Reche: Tavis and Brooke Reche, represented by Walter Lindgren with Johnson Architects, are requesting design review approval to construct at 5,922- square foot, two story retail/office/apartment building (1st floor—3,202-SF and 2nd floor—2,720-SF). The 0.16-acre site is located on the northeast corner of North 1St Street and Idaho Street at 120 North 1St Street. This item was continued from the October 11, 2012 meeting. Walter Lindgren, Johnson Architects, 1115 E. Pastoral Ct., Eagle, Idaho addresses the Board. City Planner Cerda has nothing new to add. Board discussion. Further discussion with the applicant. Tavis Reche, 850 W. Rush Road, Eagle, Idaho addresses the Board. Grubb moves to continue DR-44-12—Multi-tenant Retail/Office Building with Residential Apartments with the standard conditions and site conditions as noted, with the following notes, the revised elevations provided, dated 10/18 contains modern elements the Board would like to further review as well as the parking K:\DESI_REV\MINUTES\Temporary Minutes Work Area\DR-10-25-12min.doc structure in the rear and the architectural materials that are used. DR-45-12—Master Sign Plan for a Multi-tenant Retail/Office Building, Including Building Wall Signage for Virtual IT—Tavis and Brooke Reche: Tavis and Brooke Reche, represented by Walter Lindgren with Johnson Architects, are requesting design review approval of a master sign plan for a multi-tenant retail/office building, including building wall signage for Virtual IT. The site is located on the northeast corner of North 1St Street and Idaho Street at 120 North 1st Street. This item was continued from the October 11, 2012 meeting. Grubb moves to continue DR-45-12—Master Sign Plan for a Multi-tenant Retail/Office Building, Including Building Wall Signage for Virtual IT to the next regularly scheduled meeting. Seconded by Comstock. ALL AYE...MOTION CARRIES. Discussion on date of workshop between applicant and Board members. Workshop will take place at City Hall on Tuesday, October 30th, 8:00 am. 5.
