DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
MINUTES
Special Meeting
July 18, 2002

The Design Review Board met in special session on July 18,2002, Chairman Murray presiding.
1.
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 6:07 p.m.
2.
ROLL CALL: The following members were present: MURRAY, MC CULLOUGH,
CHRISTENSEN, PAULSON, STANGER. Absent: Barnes. A quorum is present.
Also present were Council members Merrill, Guerber and Mayor Yzaguirre.
3.
CITY HALL PROJECT: ZGA to discuss site layout, landscaping and architecture of
new City Hall.
Tom Zabala with ZGA introduces himself and Cathy Sewell and then gives a brief review of the
project and details of how the project got to be what it is at this point. Phil Hull with The Land
Group discusses landscaping for the project. Discussion.
Murray questions number of parking spots available. Stanger and McCullough ask landscape
questions of Phil Hull.
Murray states that he feels the building may be a bit too elegant looking for Eagle, not the
bedroom community feeling that Eagle currently has. Mr. Guerber and Mayor Yzaguirre give
some insight to what the Council was looking for in directing ZGA to this point. The Council
was looking for City Hall to be a focal point in the City.
Christensen states that she really likes the look of the building, but suggest that a different color
for the roof should possibly be looked at.
McCullough asks a few landscaping questions and suggests expanding the front entrance planters
to make the entrance more noticeable. Discussion on trash enclosures and security fencing.

ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
