DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
Special Meeting Minutes
July 27, 2000
The Design Review Board met in a special session on July 27,2000. Chairman Murray
presiding.

CALL TO ORDER:
2. ROLL CALL: The following members were present: MURRAY, MC
CULLOUGH, KENISON. Absent: Council liaison MERRll..L, ANDERSON. A quorum
is present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A. Minutes of July 13, 2000.
Kenison moves to approve the minutes of July 13, 2000 as presented. Seconded by
Murray. ALL A YE...MC CULLAOUGH ABSTAINS....MOTION CARRIES

PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Chairman Murray announced it is the time and the place for the Public Hearing.
A. ~-OO - Two Portable Classrooms for ~i2h School- M...£!:klian Joint
School District No.2: Meridian Joint School District No.2, represented by Leatham-
Krohn-Van Ocker, is requesting design review approval to install two 1,200-square foot
portable classroom buildings at Eagle High School. The site is located on the east side of
Park Lane approximately 2,000-feet north of State Street at 574 North Park Lane.
Murray introduces the item.
Stillman Anderson 1735 Federal Way Boise, Idaho representing the Meridian School
District reviews the application.
Discussion between Mr. Anderson and Board.
Cerda presents the staff report.
Murray opens the public hearing.
Murray closes the public hearing.
Discussion amongst the Board regarding the existing trees, site lighting and other design
issues.

Murray moves to approve DR-41-00 - Two Portable Classrooms for Eagle High
School with the site specific and standard conditions of approval with the
modification of site specific condition #2, the condition shall read as follows: The
applicant shall be required to provide a plan showing the construction fencing
around the three trees. The fencing shall be a minimum of 10 foot from the tree
trunk where open space permits, and may be reduced to circumvent the mechanical
and electrical boxes as well as roadway drives around the trees. The plan shall be
reviewed and approved by staff prior to issuance of a building permit. #3: The side
walks indicated on the proposed site plan shall be a minimum of 6 feet in width and
at the applications option be constructed of either bituminous concrete or Portland
Cement concrete paving in the pattern and profile shown. #4: Should the school
district request an additional time extension based on the Planning and Zoning
approval that in addition to an extension request by Planning and Zoning they shall
return to the Design Review Board with a landscaping plan which reflects a more
permanent condition in conformance with current Eagle City Code at time of
extension request. Seconded by McCullough. ALL A YE...MOTION CARRIES.
