A.
DR-6-97 - Monument sien and buildine wall sien for Ponderosa Paint - Golden
West Advertisine: Golden West Advertising, represented by AI Murphy, is requesting
design review approval for a monument sign and an exterior building wall sign for the
Ponderosa Paint store to be located in the vacated Food Town building. The site is
located at 127 E. State Street, one block east of Eagle Rd. on the southeast corner of E.
State and 1 st Street.
Vance introduces issue.
GENERAL DISCUSSION
Murray: I move that we accept the sign as presented with the condition that the
illumination be terminated no later than 11:00 p.m. each night. Second by
Pedersen. ALL AYE.. . MOTION CARRIES.
B.
DR-9-97 - Sound barrier block wall for Great Sky Estates Subdivision - John
Evans: John Evans, with IFI Partners II, is requesting design review approval for a
2,400-foot long (approx.), IO-feet high block wall used to barrier Great Sky Estates
Subdivision from the new State Highway 55. The wall is proposed to be constructed in
two phases and will be located on the east property line of Great Sky Estates
Subdivision.
Vance introduces the issue.
GENERAL DISCUSSION
Vance: I move to approve the wall at Great Sky with a finished cap on top of a ten
foot wall, with interior split face panel s will face the new Hiway 55, also included in
this motion is all other site specific recommendations from staff. Seconded by
Murray. ALL AYE...MOTION CARRIES.

Review of preliminary Desie:n Review proposals for Bure:er Kine: - Billy Ray Strite:
Billy Ray Strite, with BRS Architects, is requesting design review comment regarding
"turn of the century" building designs for the proposed Burger King. Plans for the
building will be submitted at the meeting.
Vance introduces the issue.
GENERAL DISCUSSION
D.
Discussion ofCEDA extension along Eagle Road south to the north channel of the Boise
River (to be continued to the next regularly scheduled DR meeting).

Vance moves to adjourn, seconded by Pedersen ALL AYE...MOTION
CARRIES.
