EAGLE DESIGN REVIEW AND LANDSCAPE
MINUTES
JUNE 19, 1996
Call to order:
Roll Call: Vance, Hull, Markham, Witte, Merrill.. Absent: Montgomery, Trautman..
Request for approval: Minutes of May 22, 1996. Moved by Vance and seconded by Witte to
approve the minutes with these changes
New Business:
1. Roundy Pole Fence Co.
Jim Gipson addressed the project. Doug Roundy has to move his existing buildings to allow
the bypass through his property, at the same time an access road will be built on to this
property. Doug Roundy plans to continue his business at the new sight. The development will
be built in two phases, each will include two of the buildings. The application includes 4
buildings with metal siding and board & batt wood siding on the front elevation between the
interior doors on each building. The committee explained that the City Code did not allow Metal
buildings in the Design Review District, and they would like to see Roundy use a different
siding, Roundy said he would be willing to do that and specified a stucco with wood trim. The
percentage of landscaping does not meet the minimum requirements, it was suggested by Franze
for heavy landscaping along the new bypass. Jim Gipson said they could widen the strip from 10
feet to 15 feet and add a strip of landscaping in phase 2 along the bypass. Phil suggested more
trees and color. If the electrical boxes are going to be on the outside of the building they will
have to be screened. The eaves on the building should be larger.
Moved by Mike and seconded by Witte to table Roudy Pole Fence Co to allow them to make
changes on the landscaping and siding on the buildings, and come back to this committee,
