EAGLE CITY MUNICIPAL DESIGN REVIEW AND LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE
MEETING
APRIL 18, 1996
CALL TO ORDER
ROLL CALL: Vance, Witte, Merrill, Hull, Markham, Trautman
Absent: Montgomery
Approval of the minutes of April 3, 1996: Moved by Witte,
seconded by Troutman to approve the minutes with the following
item changed. Larue Bevington Landscape & Design, paragraph 1 to
read The committee was comfortable with the sign in front of the
building, but objected to the sign, as submitted, in front of
State st. the rocks beneath it are simply scattered, and a
masonry base is recommended, they asked for some landscaping in
that area also. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED...
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. Crawford Auto Expansion:
Discussion: Masonry: Can the building look like the drawing?
(The plan only shows vertical lines) James Gipson stated that the
vertical lines will be visible the horizontal lines will be more
visible, especially during the day.
Yellow Piping: Mr. Crawford stated that the yellow band will not
run along the complete length of the sides of the building. It
will wrap around the corner of the building five or six feet.
The committee recommended the yellow pipeline on the front of the
building be limited to the edge of canopies and would exclude the
canopy

and letter style of sign. 4. A list of all materials used

LYONS PRIDE BUILDING:
DISCUSSION: The electrical box has been moved to the side of the
building with six foot fencing and five feet between the building
and the fence. The trash bin will stay where it is, against the
six foot fence and enclosed on three sides.
Moved by Witte, seconded by Trautman to deny the Lyons Pride
Building application based on the four items referred to at the
April 3, 1996 Design Review and Landscape Meeting. And that this
application will come back to this committee after it has gone
before council. ALL AYE: Motion Carried...
The landscaping was not addressed at this meeting. Phil Hull
will contact Jim Gipson.

REPORTS
B. Subway Signs Discussion
Have Barbara call Nancy about the Subway sign, and set up a
meeting with Mike, Barbara and Nancy to discuss what action will
be taken.
A. Tree Inventory Discussion
The committe should write a letter of interest to Craig Foss
about the grants available for tree inventory.
