Minutes - 1995 - Design Review - 05/17/1995 - Regular
Eagle City Design Review/Landscape Committee
May 17, 1995
Members in attendance: Laura Markham, Phil Hull, Tal Trautman,
Carol West, Franz Witte, Barbara Montgomery. Absent: Morgan
Masner, Pete Centerino.
Workshop-Streamside and the Robnette building were discussed.
The Committee would like to invite new members, they suggested Mike
Vance at Wright Bros, and John Evans, developer of Great Sky
Subdivision.
Meeting:
Moved by Carol and seconded by Franz to approve the minutes of May
3, 1995 as presented. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED.
Streamside Subdivision (continued): Bill Selvage was present to
address the proj ect, but apologized for not having a plat to
present. He was unable to get the revised plat in order to submit
it for the committee tonight. He asked that the matter be
continued.
The subdivision was briefly discussed to clarify what should be
presented. "Cuttings" was discussed. Rather than addressing
planting material by calipers or size, cuttings would be
appropriate for this particular subdivision since it has to do with
a natural-wetland area. The Committee wanted to make sure we had
the definition of cuttings, size, quantity and varieties of plants.
The Committee wants a section drawing outlining number of plants
per 100 linear feet. Bill will attempt to have this ready for the
June 7 meeting.
The issue was continued until a plan can be submitted to the
Committee.
Robnette Eagle Shop - location: Parkinson and State St.
Proposal: A break and alignment shop in 1/2 or more of the
building.
Landscaping: Along 2 1/2 ft. strips, shrub and tree planting, not
turf. Plants at 5 ft center.
The Committee suggested deciduous plants rather than conifer on
State St. on the W side and on Dunyon, and to plant low growing
juniper and deciduous trees i. e. Flowering Pear. All planting
areas are to be irrigated including the right of way. The
developer agreed to sod the right of way. And advised the
Committee that the building will incorporate a front appearance on
Dunyon side and State St. side.
The Committee will require an open parking space on each side for

turn around, both on the State Street side and Dunyon side. The
lighting will include 2 lights in the front and 2 in the back.
There will be indirect lighting at the sign. The developer will
provide the Council with this plan for parking and a 2nd option
with less parking spaces than required.
Sign: Natural stain wood with tenant logo. Tenants will need to
come to staff for individual approval, Moved by Franz and seconded
by Phil to approve the conditions as stated.
Design Review: question: are golf courses excluded from review?
what else is missing? The landscaping adjacent to the golf course
property should be subject to committee review.
at 9:25 p.m.
Approved:
Laura Markham, Chairman
