Minutes - 1994 - Design Review - 04/07/1994 - Regular
Eagle City Landscaping Committee met on April 7, 1994
Present: Barbara Montgomer~ Phil Hull, Laura Markham, Kelli
Blair, Tal Trautman & Morgan Masner. Absent: Meredith Carnahan,
Pete Centorino & Carol West.
Moved by Blair and seconded by Masner that the minutes of
March 3, 1994 be approved as presented. Motion carried
Bosanka Subdivision
Mark Guho was in attendance and presented the landscape design
to the committee members. There will be a six foot fence
lining the west side of the property. Four street lights will
be included in the subdivision, patterned after the Island
Woods desiqn. A block wall will separate the commercial from
the resideñtial area. The ends of the block walls will be
wrapped in stone and the wooden fences will have pillars on
the ends which will coordinate with the subdivision sign and the
street lights.
Moved by Masner, seconded by Blair to approve the landscaping
of Bosanka as presented. Motion Carried.
Swanson Mini Storage
Wayne Swanson presented his plan for a mini storage on his pro-
perty on State street. He explained his property layout. There
was a great deal of discussion about maintenance of the right-
of way area, need for additional screening along both sides of
the property, and too much hardscape. Mr. Swanson answered a
great many questions about the project, including the fact that
the existing house will be used as offices space for several
businesses.
Moved by Masner,seconded by Trautman that the subject be con-
tinued until the next regular meeting, when Mr. Swanson will
come back before the committee with additional information on
his project. Mòtion Carried.
Van Engelen Estates
Rick Roe presented the plan for Van Engelen Estates. The theme
from Rick's River Ridg~ was continued to include meandering side-
walks, street lights, park benches and the same tree selection.
Mr. Roe indicated that the p&Z wanted a park to be centerally
located in the subdivision. There will be a trike path, basket-
ball court with hoop on each side, and a 5' wide sidewalks.
There will be a 48" pole fence with heavy mesh backing. The
backing is to prohibit children and small animals from going
beyond the fence onto adjoining properties.
Moved by Masner seconded by Markham to approve plan as presented

The committee spent time discussing the plans for the arboretum.
It was requested that Dave Koga submit to the cit-y the cost for
plans for fine grading & irrigation of the arboretum.
