June 30, 1993
Those in attendance:

Carol West.
Pete Centorino, Tal Trautman, Kelli Blair,
Absent: Meredith Carnahan, Laura Markham,
SUBJECTS TO DISCUSS:
KESTRAL COVE SUBDIVISION:
The Conunittee reviewed the plans for the landscaping of the Kestral
project, but the Conunittee and developer agreed that any decision
was premature as this project has not been approved by the Council.
Street. The.Conunittee determined that the trees on the State St.
frontage shall be 2" caliper and each tree a distance of no more
than 35 ft. Ash and Flowering Pear were acceptable to the
Conunittee. The road through the conunercial area to the subdivision
will also have trees but will not need to be as close as 35 ft.
That area will have sod, but the greater landscaping will be the
responsibility of the buyer of the conunercial lots. There will be
no sign in the entrance of the subdivision, nor any particular
entrance landscaping as it is the interior portion of the project.
The developer agreed that the State Street appearance should be
maintained with curb, gutter and sidewalk, trees and lights. (only
one additional light is needed on the westerly portion of the
project along State St.)
ASHLAND ACRES SUBDIVISION:
The Conunittee agreed this is an extension of the Lexington
Subdivision and should have the appearance as such, not as a
separate subdivision with additional landscaping. The Committee
asked that the funds that should ordinarily create a landscaping
entrance be expended on the park within the project.
ARBORETUM:
The Conunittee reviewed the color plan of the Arboretum, created by
Dave Koga. The Conunittee agreed the next move was to open for
bids. Dave Koga has all the specs. The bidder should be required
to buy a set of plans and the blue prints should be licensed,
bondable and insured. (at least a 5% bond)
