PARKS COMMITTEE MEETING
FEBRUARY 3, 1993
Those in attendance: Tal Troutman, Meridith McCarnahan,

The Conunittee members would like to have Carol West join the
Conuni ttee. Kelli Blair stated she would take the issue to the
Council for conformation.
The Conunittee reviewed the advertisement
maintenance of parks and city hall grounds.

Those suggestions resulting from the discussion are as follows:
1. to specify by diagrams the areas expected to be maintained.
2. to add dormant spray oil to trees (a February application) to
the "Grounds Maintenance Specifications"
3. the bidder must have current references and supply lists of
current accounts
4. include in the contract a "30 day out"
5. replacement of parts shall be "per like" parts
6. add a costs per line item miscellaneous to the contract to
cover those repairs, etc. that are not covered and are unexpected
costs.
7. add the date the bids will open and date of decision

THE BOGUS RIDGE subdivision was discussed. The members will go and
look at the site. Cinterino stated the seeding as stated is not
sufficient. It would become a maintenance nightmare. He suggested
rock instead. They will view the site and get back to city hall
with suggestions.
PLANS FOR the lot E of City Hall was discussed. Laura Markham will
check on some soil State Transportation has available. She will
also check with Dave Koga on the design. She will stress the need
for prompt attention to the plan as time is limited to get started.
