The meeting of the Design Review Board was called to order by
acting chairman Ron Marshall at 6:30 P. M. on June 9, 1980
at the office of the acting chairman.
Members present: Ron Marshall, Wayne Crosby, Jim Gipson and
Peter C~ntorinÐ. Mike Orlando submitted his resignation to
Mayor Deckard and was absent.
The acting chairman announced the first order of business
being the election of a chairman and a vice-chairman.
Crosby nominated Ron Marshall for chairman, seconded by
Centorini. Crosby moved to close nominations, seconded
by Centorini. Crosby moved to elect Marshall by acclimation.
Seconded by Gipson. There being no objection, Marshall was
elected.
The chairman opened nominations for vice-chairman. Crosby
nominated Jim Gipson seconded by Centorini.
Crosby moved to close nominations, seconded by Centorini.
Crosby moved to elect Gipson by acclimation, seconded by
Centorini. There being no objection, Gipson was elected
vice-chairman.
Moved by Gipson to dispense with the business of adopting Rules
and Regulations until the next regular meeting. Seconded by
Crosby. Motion carried.
The Chairman announced that the Mountain Bell Telephone Company
had submitted application #1-80 for Design Review of an
equipment building. The application includes sketches and
drawings which were reviewed by the Board. The Chariman noted
that this material had been reviewed and discussed with Mountain
Bell representatives during a work session.
Moved by Gipson and seconded by Crosby that:

The application of Mountain Bell Telephone Co., #1-80 be
approved with the conditions indicated.

During the review of the application, the following items
were considered with the findings as indicated:
A.
The materials being used comply with Paragraph 1 of
Annex B to EC Ordinance #55. The applicant is to construct
the East wall of textured masonery block in a color
compatible with the color of the remainder of the building.
B.
The application complies with Paragraph 2 of Annex B.
C.
The application complies with Paragraph 3 of Annex Band
the applicant is to comply with Paragraph 3R, Annex B,
for any structure above roof level.
D.
The only sign authorized will be a grass plaque with the
telephone symbol.
E.
The applicant is to comply with paragrah 6,
pertaining to landscaping, is to ensure all
1 1/2" d.b.h., or larger, and all areas not
building or graveled areas are to be sodded
grass.

There being no further discussion the chairman called for a
roll call vote. The results'of which were: Aye: Crosby,
Gipson, Centorini and Marshall. Unanamous.
There being no further business to come before the board, the
meeting was adjourned.
