Design Review Board Meeting

Chairman Ron Marshall called the meetinR to order at 7:35 p.m..
Present: Gipson, West, Cintorino, Crosby and Marshall
Absent: None
Guests: Charlie Hartman wi Provident Federal Savings & Loan
Paul White, Barr Smith, Ellery Brown & Ruth Warfield wi
Esco, Inc.
Gipson moved and Crosby 2nd we do not review or anprove the minutes
of 10-16-80 until our next meeting. Motion carried.
Charlie Hartman wi Provident Federal Savings & Loan Association~
apnlication #6-80, presented to the Board a colored elevation of
the "time & temp sign" and the sign above the front entrance of
their building. He also presented a detailed landscane plan.
The following action was taken concnrning the above pre-
sentation:
CROSBY MOVED A~~ CINTCRINO SECONDED the Board apnrove the
landscape Dlan around the proposed building. It is under-
stood that the developer of the shopping center will taye
care of the planting areas boardering on Steirman and State.
The electronic plexiglass time & temp sign and plexiglass
sign above the front entrance of the building do not comoly
with Ordinance #55, Annex B and therefore would not be allowed.
Motion carried unanimously,
Mr. Hartman stat~d that if the developer of the center refuses to
landscape the olanting areas on Steirman and State that it will be
done by Provident Federal Savings & Loan.
Mr. Hartman stated that he would contact other sign makers and try
to come up with something that would meet with the Boards approval.
Ellery Brown, B. Smith, P. White and R. Warfield all representing
Esco, Inc. approached the Board with application #7-80. .
The applicant desires to build an office complex addition to ex-
isting Dental office located at 589 State Street.
The applicant presented the Board with a colored elevation of the
structure and agrees to comply with all particulars stated in app.
#7-80. He also agrees to install a sprin}ler system.
The Board recommended and the applicant agreed to construct some
type of storage area for garbage, etc., to be used by all occupants
of the building.
Detailed sign and landscape plan are to be submitted at a later date.
GIPSON }~OVED AND CROSBY SECONDED the Board approve A pp. #7-80
finding that it basically complies with Ord. 55. Sign and landscaning
to be aDoroved at a later date. Motion carried unanimously.
