EAGLE PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING MINUTES
March 18, 1996
The Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on
March 18, 1996. Chairman BRADLEY presiding.
The following members were present: BERT BRADLEY,
RUSSEL MAYER, COLLEEN MAILE, FARRIN FARNWORTH.
DONALD BRINTON,
Moved by MAILE and seconded by BRINTON to approve the minutes of
the March 4, 1996, meeting with the following correction: page 1,
the Gratiot transmittal ì - the sentence should read "plan on
building a residence on this same property". ALL AYE: MOTION
CARRIED.
PUBLIC HEARING/ORDINANCE 270-Relating to Public Notice for Land Use
Actions:
Chairman BRADLEY announced it is the time and the place for a
public hearing regarding the application by the City for notice for
land use actions.
Proposal: To provide for uniform notice requirements
Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Zoning Text and Zoning
Annexation, Development Agreements, Preliminary Plats
Subdivisions, General Subdivision Ordinance, Comprehensive Plan
Zoning Ordinance Text and Map, and to require posting of
property in all public hearing applications.

After discussion the Commissioners agreed to make the following
changes:
To amend the proposal with the following recommendations:
1.
All CUP applications referencing ECC Section 8 - 3 - 2. E will
require one 11 x 17 sign only.
2.
All other applications, one parcel or multiple parcels,
requiring public hearing notices, will post 4 x 4 signs.
3.
The sign will be printed on 2 sides, placed perpendicular to
roadways.
4.
In the event that the development includes properties with
over 500 feet of road frontage the requirement will be that a
sign be placed on each end of the project road frontage, with
exceptions of a corner lot which will require three signs, one
on the corner and two on the specific ends of the propertys
roadway frontages.

5.
All signs will be mounted between two 4 x 4 posts so that the
bottom of the sign is 3 feet above the ground.
The Commission requested that the City Attorney review the
ordinance with the above noted changes and make the changes. It
was noted that there is a conflict referencing Variances on page 3
and 9. The City Attorney was asked to review those sections.
