Minutes - 1992 - Planning & Zoning - 08/24/1992 - Regular EAGLB PLUHIRG AIm ZORIRG MEBTING AuCJU8t 24,1992 The Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on August 24, 1992. Chairman GERBER presiding. The following members were present: LLOYD GERBER, LOGAN BENNETT, PAULINE HINMAN, BERT BRADLEY, KEN SMITH. Moved by HINMAN and seconded by BENNETT to move the order of arrangement of the agenda to allow for the Ada County transmittals to be discussed at this time. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Moved by HINMAN and seconded by BRADLEY to approve the minutes of the August 17, 1992 meeting as presented. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Ada County Transmittal #92-38-PDR/Marshall: Moved by HINMAN and seconded by BENNETT to approve Ada County Transmittal 92-38-PDR, a 2 lot planned residential development as presented. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Ada County Transmittal #92-29-PR/Chris MaCaw: Moved by BRADLEY and seconded by SMITH to deny the Ada County Transmittal 92-29-PR, a private road access application as presented, based on the fact that it cannot connect the two easements, the transmittal lacks the necessary information to make a decision. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Eagle Comprehensive Plan 1992 amendments: The Commissioners discussed the open forum style public meeting of August 17, 1992, and what the public consensus of the plan appeared to represent. The most discussion by the public was the land use portion of the plan having to do with the density throughout the city. Most of the public wanted a less dense designation map than was presented at the hearing and an agricultural designation. Other discussion included law enforcement, schools, and water. HINMAN complimented the hearing officer, Linda Kioukis for her composure and professionalism throughout the hearing. Moved by BRADLEY and seconded by BENNETT to amend the Land Use Designation Map to include an "A", Agricultural designation from Beacon Light Rd. to State St. (N and S), and from Meridian Rd. to Linder (E and W). Also, by property owners request to extend the "orange" designation (medium density residential - 3 to 5 dw u per a) below Hunter's Ridge (Bogus Subdivision) N.
