NEW BUSINESS: KEN SMITH reported on a meeting he attended regarding the Eagle Water Study, the availability of water in the Company area. The representative from DEQ, Engineers and health authorities determined there is not enough water to supply other areas. There is sufficient water to serve Empire Estates and Eagle point, it runs 500 gal per minute, another well is needed, but no location has been chosen. Any other service areas would need further study, there is a need for more lines, but wonder where the money is for that. The City needs to appear at any future hearing to oppose further service area for the Eagle Water Co as the financial conditions of the company does not look good.
