EAGLE PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING
APRIL 15 ,1991
The following members were present:
BENNETT, KATHRYN MCPEAK, PAULINE HINMAN.
The Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session
on April 15, 1991. Chairman EASON presiding. ~~

Absent: GERBER
Moved by MCPEAK and seconded by HINMAN to approve the minutes of
the April 1, 1991 meeting as presented. ALL AYE: MOTION
CARRIED.
PUBLIC HEARING/Towne rezone
Chairman EASON announced that this was the time and place set for
a public hearing on Towne Rezone
Applicant: John Towne
Location: 1/2 mile E of Eagle on north side of Hwy 44
Proposal: rezone property from A to C2
Public Testimony: No opposition. In favor: La Rue Bevington
Public hearing closed at 7:35 p.m.
Moved by MCPEAK and seconded by HINMAN to recommend approval of
the rezone based on the compliance with the Eagle Comprehensive
plan and ordinances of the City of Eagle. ALL AYE: MOTION
CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS:
Ada County Transmittals: Keating-TLQ: Moved by BENNETT and
seconded HINMAN to approve the transmittal for a 3 year period
only. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED.
Ada County Transmittal: Bodily-Bunderson (Sandy Springs)
continued from April 1, 1991. A letter was introduced from the
City Attorney, Mona Mack to P&Z Commissioners outlining the
intent of the Comprehensive Plan, which included, in part, the
following: "for the reasons set forth below, our conclusion is
no, the plan does not provide for the establishment of
residential units in the impact area on less than five acre lots,
unless the development is a planned unit development."
Presentation by Larry Sale, Briggs Engineering, advised the
Commissioners that criteria was met. Moved by MCPEAK and
seconded by BENNETT to deny the transmittal as it does not meet
the criteria of the Eagle Comprehensive Plan. ALL AYE: MOTION
CARRIED.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Council report/Rick Yzaguirre: He advised the Commissioners of
~he findings of Council on previous issues. The question of a
new location for the City Library was brought up. Yzaguirre will
approach Council on the proposal to have the Library in the
"Loft" building for future expansion.
