Minutes - 1990 - Planning & Zoning - 03/19/1990 - Regular EAGLE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MINUTES OF THE MARCH 19, 1990 MEETING The Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on March 19, 1990 at ;7:30 p.m. Chairman SINCLAIR presiding. , Roll call showed the ¡following members present: BENNETT, GERBER. ' PUBLIC HEARINGS: ZONING OF PROPOSED ANNEXED AREAS: Public testimony in opposition: , George Meier (Scotty's Plumbing): Objected to R-5 zoning of Randall Acres, reque¡ted Commercial zoning. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Moved by EASON and seconded by GERBER to zone the small triangle formed on the w. side of Fabco extending to the beginning of Area 7 as C-2, as continued frontage on State Street. All frontage from Karen's Beauty Salon to Highway 55 to be zoned C-2 with the exception of Monroc and Fabco. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Area 7A Area 8 R-5, Randall Acres, remainder C-2 R-5, small portion enclosed by BanBury Moved by GERBER and seconded by BENNETT to accept the recommendations of the Eagle City Council with the exception of those areas noted,by motion of the Planning and Zoning Commission, as changed at this meeting. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Moved by GERBER and seconded by EASON to move the public hearing on the McCallum annexation and zoning and hear it at this time. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. PUBLIC HEARING: MCCALLUM ANNEXATION AND ZONING Chairman SINCLAIR opened the public hearing. Location of property: South of Beacon Light Rd., and W. of Highway 55. Proposal: Subdivision - Request: Annexation:and R-1 Zoning Applicant: John and Kathryn McCallum Richard Meyer spoke: in opposition to the annexation indicating disapproval with a subdivision in a flood plain area and lack of sewer and water facilities. Public hearing closed discussion included that density should be a minimum lot sizeiof l.6 acres in order to comply with the Comprehensive Plan requirements of central sewer and water for a subdivision of more than 3 units per 5 acres. Moved by GUERBER anq seconded by EASON to recommend approval of the application for annexation and zoning of R-l for the McCallum property. ALL AYE: ¡MOTION CARRIED. PUBLIC HEARING: HIGHWAY 55. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. FINDING OF FACT AND CONCLUSION OF LAW: 1990 EAGLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. Moved by GERBER and seconded by BENNETT to accept the findings as presented. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Moved by GERBER and seconded QY BENNETT to adjourn the meeting. The meeting adjourned at 9:35 P.M.
