Minutes - 1988 - Planning & Zoning - 02/02/1988 - Regular EAGLE PLANNING & ZONING P.O. BOX 477 . EAGLE, IDAHO 83616 - PHONE 939-0431 FEBRUARY 2, 1988 Eagle Planning and Zoning met in regular session on February 2, 1988. WATSON presiding in Chairman WILSON'S absence. Roll call showed the following members present: SINCLAIR, NYBORG, SMITH. WATSON, EASON, Moved by NYBORG and seconded by EASON to approve the minutes of the December 7, 1988 meeting. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. WATSON declared it was the time and the place for the first public hearing regarding a rezone request, applicant Glenn Bass. Mr. Bass spoke regarding the rezone application, requesting a commercial zone change from the agriculture zone that is now in effect. He stated that he intends, in the future, to have a small fabric shop and perhaps a quick lub shop. Mr. Bass indicated that he has nine acres of land to rezone. Speaker for the project was Pat Towne. Mr. towne indicated that he believed all of the property in that area should be zoned commercial. He indicated that he may ask for rezone of his property in that area too. There were no speakers in opposition to the proposal. Discussion took place regarding the rezone, and it was questioned that all the 9 acres needed to be rezoned commercial. The depth of the property was of concern also. It was moved by EASON and seconded by NYBORG to approve the request for rezone, and that the property should be rezoned in full to C-l, in order to allow the home and existing use to continue. That as C-1 any commercial use shall have design review. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. WATSON declared it was the time and the place for the second public hearing regarding the 1988 Eagle Comprehensive Plan. There was no speakers for or against the changes in the plan. There was a letter received from Ada County Development indicating that they had no opposition to the proposed changes. Moved by EASON and seconded by SINCLAIR to approve the changes to the new 1988 Comprehensive Plan. ALL AYE: MOTION CARRIED. Eagle Planning and Zoning February 2, 1988 Page 2 The members of the Planning and Zoning reviewed the proposed changes to the Official Schedule of District Regulations. It was suggested by EASON to table any further discussion of Title 8 or 9 and Committee reports until the next meeting.
