EAGLE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
July 1, 2002

The Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session on July 1,2002,
Chairman Franden presiding.

CALL TO ORDER:

ROLL CALL: The following members were present FRANDEN,
NORDSTROM, CADWELL, Absent: BLOOM, CROOK. A quorum is
present.
CONSENT AGENDA:
A. Minutes of June 17,2002.
Cadwell moves to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Seconded by
Nordstrom. ALL A YE...MOTION CARRIES.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:
A. CU-04-02 - One Portable Classroom for Ea2le Hills Elementary School
- Meridian Joint School District No.2: Meridian Joint School District No.
2, represented by Leatham -Krohn - Van Ocker Architects, is requesting
conditional use approval to install one divided portable classroom building
at Eagle Hills Elementary School. The site is located on Ranch Drive
approximately 1/2-mile east of North Eagle Road at 650 Ranch Drive.
Franden introduces the item.
Stillman Anderson, 1735 Federal Way, Boise representing the applicant presents the
application. Mr. Stillman states there is a large increase in the number of students for
this next school year. Eagle Hills Elementary is over crowded and needs this extra
building.
The Commission asks questions of the applicant.
Jeff Lowe, city staff presents the staff report.
Franden opens the public hearing.
Franden closes the public hearing.
Nordstrom moves to approve CU-04-02 - One Portable Classroom for Eagle Hills
Elementary School- Meridian Joint School District No.2 with staff
recommendations. Seconded By Cadwell. ALL A YE...MOTION CARRIES.

NEW BUSINESS:
A. FPUD-3-02 & FP-9-02 - Final Development Plan and Final Plat for
Brookwood Subdivision No.6: Aries Development, LLC, represented by
Mike Hormaechea, is requesting final development plan and final plat
approval for Brookwood Subdivision Phase 6, a 48-lot (40-buildable, 8-
common) residential subdivision. This 16.74-acre (approx.) phase of
Brookwood PUD is located on the north side of Floating Feather Road and
west of Feather Nest Estates Subdivision. The site is within the Eagle City
Limits.
Franden introduces the item.
Mike Hormaechea, 1101 W. River Street, Boise representing Aries Development
presents the application.
Jeff Lowe, city staff presents the staff report.
Discussion from the Commission.
Cadwell moves to approve FPUD-3-02 & FP-9-02 - Final Development Plan and
Final Plat for Brookwood Subdivision No.6 with staff recommendations.
Seconded by Nordstrom. ALL A YE...MOTION CARRIES.
7. REPORTS: Attorney: Ransom Bailey discusses with the Commission the
letter written about Oakley Subdivisions landscaping.
8. ADJOURNMENT: Cadwell moved to adjourn at 7:10 p.m. Seconded by
Nordstrom. ALL A YE...MOTION CARRIES...
