PLANNING & ZONING
MINUTES
JANUARY 4, 1983
The commission met in regular session on Tuesday,
January 4, 1983, Chairman Jim Hill presiding.
Roll call showed the following members present:
ESCALANTE, MARSHALL, SHADE, SMITHSON, VOGT.
HILL,
Moved by SHADE, seconded by SMITHSON to approve the
minutes of December 7, 1982 as printed. Motion resulted as
follows: AYE: ESCALANTE, MARSHALL, SHADE, VOGT, SMITHSON.
Chairman HILL announced that this was the time for the
election of officers. Moved by SHADE, seconded by SMITHSON
that Jim Hill be relected Chairman. There being no further
nominations it was moved by SHADE, seconded by VOGT to close
the nominations. Motion resulted as follows: AYE: ESCALANTE,
MARSHALL, SHADE, SMITHSON, VOGT. Motion to re-elect Jim Hill
as Chairman resulted as follows: AYE: ESCALANTE, MARSHALL,
SHADE, SMITHSON, VOGT. Motion carried.
Chairman HILL announced that the chair was now open for
nominations for Vice Chairman. Moved by ESCALANTE, seconded
by VOGT to re-elect Bob Shade as Vice Chairman. There being
no further nominations it was moved by SMITHSON to close the
nominations. Motion resulted as follows: AYE:ESCALANTE,
MARSHALL, SHADE, SMITHSON, VOGT. Motion carried. The motion
to re-elect Bob Shade as Vice Chairman resulted as follows:
AYE: ESCALANTE, MARSHALL, SHADE, SMITHSON, VOGT. Motion Carried.
Vogt and Smithson said they would try to go to the next
Ada Planning & Zoning meeting on the 11th of January.
Escalante said he would like to see a set of goals for
the Planning and Zoning commission for the 1983 year.
The commission worked on the "Special Areas or Sites"
and Transportation sections of the Comprehensive Plan.
Chairman Hill adjourned the meeting at 9:40 P.M.
