PHONE 939.0431 March 3, 1981 The regular meeting of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission was called to order by Chairperson Sharp at 7: 30 P. M. on March 3,1981 at the Eagle City Hall. MEMBERS PRESENT: ALLRED, BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHARP, HILL. excused. WAITE AND SORENSON were absent. SHADE was Moved by FISHER and seconded by HILL that the minutes of the previous meeting of February 3, 1981 be approved as printed. Motion carried. Chairperson Sharp announced that this was the time and the place for a public hearing submitted by Klein, representing First Renegade Adventure for an amendment to the Eagle City Zoning Ordinance to include an M-I A Zoning district. Terry Ke1in, Boise, Idaho spoke in favor of the amendment. There was no public testimony against the amendment. Chairperson Sharp declared the public hearing closed. Moved by HILL and seconded by BROWNLEE that the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the Eagle City Council that the Klein application for an amendment to the Eagle City Zoning Ordinance to include an M-I A zoning district (light manufacturing with a planned unit development) be approved. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: ALLRED, BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHARP, HILL. Motion carried. Moved by HILL and seconded by ALLRED that the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the Eagle City Council that the request from Klein for annexation be approved and that the zoning district M-I A be applied to this parcel of property. That this district include a light manufacturing district with a planned unit development process in accordance with Article XII of the City of Eagle Zoning Ordinance. We believe this amendment and this motion to be in full compliance with the Eagle City Comprehensive Plan. This annexation would require a change to the zoning map to include this property and we do recommend a zoning district of M-I A. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: ALLRED, BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHARP, HILL. Motion carried. Moved by HILL and seconded by BROWNLEE that the request for zone change from R-l to C-l for the Marz property be denied based on the varjiation to the comprehensive plan, page 23, which is dealing with strip commercial zoning and development so the zoning as requested is in conflict with the comprehensive plan. Roll call on the motion resulted as follows: ALLRED, BROWNLEE, FISHER, SHARP HILL. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the commission, the meeting was adjourned. ~~~~
